The making
Cut from 10/10 cotton twill and made in India. Sixteen 45mm plant patches applied by hand down one leg, each held by four corner tacks with the edges left free, so any of them can be lifted off and moved on. Three ruled lines on the name tape inside the back waistband.
How it grows
A 60mm turn-back hem is folded inside and slip-stitched by hand — no machine topstitch on the face of the cloth. Unpick the stitching, press the fold out and re-hem, and the garment is one size longer. The old crease stays. It is evidence a child grew. An internal waist tape adjusts a full size either way.

Sizes 2/3 to 13/14, cut with room to move rather than room to grow into. Take the usual age and expect roughly one more size of wear from the growth mechanism. Full measurements in the size chart.
