The making
Cut from 16 wale needlecord and made in India. Corozo buttons at the waist, set against hand-worked buttonholes. Three ruled lines on the name tape inside the back waistband.
How it grows
A 60mm turn-back hem is folded inside and slip-stitched by hand — no machine topstitch on the face of the cloth. Unpick the stitching, press the fold out and re-hem, and the garment is one size longer. The old crease stays. It is evidence a child grew. An internal waist tape adjusts a full size either way.
